Eye Surgery Associates brings together a group of highly qualified, experienced Ophthalmologists offering a broad range of specialist services to respond to your medical and surgical eye care needs at four convenient locations across the Melbourne metropolitan area. Our rooms in East Melbourne, Doncaster, Malvern and Vermont South are fully equipped with the latest diagnostic tools and instrumentation necessary to assist our doctors with the diagnoses, treatment and management of all eye conditions.
The origins of Eye Surgery Associates go back to before 2000, when a group of like-minded ophthalmologists came together to form an organisation that would provide a comprehensive range of tertiary ophthalmic services. This group believed that they could provide excellence in patient care across the broad range of services by offering both patients and referrers access to a team of highly trained sub-specialists who could both complement each others’ area of expertise and build a relationship with patients that would enable all of their immediate and changing medical and surgical eye care needs to be managed on a long term basis.
ESA is proud to be able to confirm that it has succeeded with this vision, and today can identify many long-term associations with patients and referrers that attest to this. ESA has grown substantially in the intervening years and now has a team of 16 ophthalmologists (having started with four founding members) and more than 25 clinical services and administrative staff meeting the evolving needs of our patients.
Much remains constant in the treatment options available to patients but many new and exciting developments have occurred in the time-frame to date, leading to better healthcare outcomes for our patients. ESA doctors and staff greatly enjoy the work they do, along with the positive environment of a practice that exists to serve the needs of patients, carers, referrers, colleagues and suppliers.
