Dr. Wai-ee Thai is a cardiologist specializing in non-invasive cardiac imaging (echocardiography, cardiac computed tomography and magnetic resonance imaging). She graduated from Medicine at Monash University with honours and completed her advanced cardiology and further specialist training in echocardiography at Monash Heart, Southern Health. She underwent a post doctoral non-invasive cardiac imaging fellowship at Massachusetts General Hospital, Boston USA in cardiac CT and MRI. In conjunction with her clinical work, Dr. Thai’s research interest lies in the use of non-invasive cardiac imaging techniques to assess myocardial structure and function. She has presented her research both at national and international scientific conferences and has multiple publications in cardiology and radiology peer reviewed journals.

Dr Thai provides consultation and non-invasive cardiac imaging services at our  Berwick and Langwarrin practices. She is also a member of the Heart Failure Management Clinic in Mulgrave and Langwarrin.

Heart Care Victoria is pleased to welcome Dr Mohammad Latif who joins our team of highly qualified and respected cardiologists.

Dr Latif is a cardiologist specialising in non-invasive cardiac imaging. He completed his MBChB at the University of Otago in New Zealand in 2002 and completed his FRACP in 2007. He has this year completed his Non-Invasive Imaging Fellowship at the Austin Hospital, Heidelberg.

 

Dr Yew Mun Cheong

Dr Yew Mun Cheong is an Interventional and General Cardiologist with a special interest in coronary angiography, balloon angioplasty and coronary stenting. (Dr Cheong completed his interventional fellowship training at the Epworth Hospital, Richmond). He has completed postgraduate training in CT coronary angiography and is also involved in echocardiography.

Presently, Dr Cheong is involved in the ongoing teaching and training of registrars and resident doctors at Box Hill Hospital. He has a large private practice and has admitting rights to the Epworth Hospital, Knox Private Hospital and Warringal Private Hospital.
