Dr Trevor Gin
Dr Trevor Gin (MBBS, Med(Ophthal), FRANZCO, FRACS) is an Associate Ophthalmologist at Eye Surgery Associates specialising in Medical Retina. Dr Gin is also a consultant ophthalmologist at the Royal Victorian Eye and Ear Hospital in both General Clinic 2 and the Medical Retinal Clinic. He completed a post graduate Masters degree in experimental diabetic retinopathy and completed a fellowship in retinal diseases with Professor Alan Bird at Moorfields Eye Hospital, London.
Dr Gin is a fellow at the Centre for Eye Research Australia and is involved in numerous international clinical trials for Medical Retinal Unit and for the Eye and Ear Hospital. He also has an interest in third world eye disease and has operated in eye camps in Nepal, Vietnam, Kiribati, Nauru, Ethiopia and the peripheral islands of Vanuatu. He is the Qualification and Education Committee Chairman for the Victorian Ophthalmology Training Program, Chairman of the Selection Panel for the Victorian Ophthalmology Training Program as well as an Examiner for the Royal Australian New Zealand College of Ophthalmologists. Dr Gin practices general ophthalmology but his main interest is in Medical Retinal Disease.
