Dr Simon Skalicky
Dr Simon Skalicky, (FRANZCO, MPhil, MMed (Ophthal Sci), MBBS (Hons1), PhD), commenced work at Eye Surgery Associates (East Melbourne) in February 2014.
Dr Skalicky is a highly skilled Ophthalmologist. He has recently returned from Cambridge UK where he gained subspecialist expertise in the management of glaucoma and challenging cataract surgery.
An advocate of evidence-based best practice he has published over 30 articles in international journals and is a reviewer for several Ophthalmology journals. He is a Senior Lecturer at the University of Sydney and sits on an Expert Advisory Panel for Glaucoma Australia. He is an author of the Australian Cancer Council Ocular Melanoma Treatment Guidelines. He is actively involved in the training of medical students, registrars and fellows.
Dr Skalicky is a Visiting Medical Officer at the Royal Victorian Eye and Ear Hospital and Royal Melbourne Hospital. He operates privately at Masada Hospital, St Kilda East and also consults privately at a practice in Caulfield, Melbourne.
